FSA x UBCO Rec Volleyball: Intercultural Series

Join the Filipino Student Association for 2 hours of round-robin style of Volleyball. 4 Teams will be playing at a time and are split between 2 courts. Register in groups of 3 and teams will be formed day-of the games, which will ensure a mix of players of all ages and skill levels.

Volleyball has become a significant part of Filipino culture, it has promoted national pride, unity, and gender equality. You can find courts almost anywhere, including community centers, on the beach, and even a makeshift court on any open area. The sport also contributes to the economy through sponsorships, tourism, and media coverage, making volleyball an essential aspect of social life and a source of inspiration in the Philippines.
